Personally I find it so far beyond everything else I own that it's a no brainer. Have upgraded everytime but never use anything beyond kontakt and a bit of Reaktor. Had Komplete for maybe 2 years and I reckon i've learned how to use 90% of what it has to offer, mastered 20% and Actually utilize about 20-30% of it in my productions due to the number of instruments it provides. So you wouldn't really be losing anything at the moment. I just don't want to worry about it any longer - and if you catch a great sale you can get Komplete products pretty cheap.
The songs I've recorded with komplete 8 have such a good sound that people think it's actually real instruments played by real people I mostly use acoustic sounds.
