When I write, I write about my surroundings. That's all I could ask for and he delivered. But as a huge fan of the original weeknd sound, I do wish it was more like the trilogy. I have thoroughly listened several times and I love it. I understand people not liking the album. For it to end with Tell Your Friends would throw that storyline off in a major way.
The trio will be performing in Houston on December 13 at Toyota Center. Ed also did a freestyle battle with Waka Flocka in my kitchen. He has a lot of variety here. Maybe I'm not as disappointed because I wasn't expecting anything like Trilogy. The album kind of begins with Abel being that guy until he meets the girl in Acquainted. I knew he influenced Take Care's sound, but I didn't realize how much.
I liked your 'what is that' description for the Weeknd's Trilogy. Was a huge Weeknd fan, absolutely love Trilogy, top 5 albums ever to me cheating obviously but I'd put HoB in it's place if it really was to be disputed. It was posted here just a week ago. Throughout this project, the Toronto native artist has several consecutive songs conceding to the idea of love, compassion, and care. The fact that he took this in such a different direction from the past really demonstrates growth. If 'In The Night' is released as a single it'll definitely chart high.
Will always love that stuff, I don't have a huge problem with him going in a different direction but it's not for me. This is as strong of a Weeknd performance you'll get. Track 14: Angel All good things must come to an end. I get the senetiment on I Cant Feel My Face but that shit is right on time. I can understand if the production feels a too heavy for people, but it was just great to me. On the other hand, The Weeknd could also be calling on his listeners to spread the word about him—he wants us to tell our friends about the drugs, the sex, the hair and of course, the music.
I've given it about 6 solid listens, and I've gotta say it's my favourite project from Abel since House of Balloons. He thinks that they're good people and hopes that they can move on from him to find happiness and love elsewhere. It was a very unique track, sounded different from the rest of the album. Production was on point on this track, just like the whole album. It is natural for an artist to switch up their sound as they get bigger and try to reach more people, and it seems like the weekend is no exception to this rule. This is still the Weeknd and is still distinct from what other people are putting out right now. Radio still hypes up albums so much too.
It didn't seem too pop to me. This is The Weeknd in his prime. You wouldn't hear this kind of stuff in pop music that much. I miss that darker sound as well, but also I think there's a level of experimental production and unconventional songwriting form that is no longer present, and that's what really set his Trilogy stuff apart. Threads made to speculate about cryptic social media posts or website updates are also not allowed. We should all get some ice cream and have a Trilogy listening party.
I get that he blew up, but I still hoped for more darker songs, not generic pop songs. Track 4: Often You have probably heard this word and song repeated over radio waves countless times. Tell Your Friends : If you didn't like that electric guitar outro, idk what to tell you. We hope you don't only get your Trap Music fix from our site, but you allow us to help you diverge into various other related underground bass music genres; as well as expose you to some of the culture, style and fashion that exists amongst these communities. My favorite Weeknd projects in order are: Echoes of Silence, House of Balloons, Beauty Behind the Madness tied with Kissland and Thursday.
. I guess it is a good album for what it seems to be meant to be, which is a more pop oriented sound. But that is not to say I don't like any of them, they're all great, and this one just shows Abel's progression. Additionally, comments deemed overtly racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, etc. It feels like Abel tried to make his own version of 'Thriller', but he just brought in too many producers. It was revealed by G.
Even though the album is a little plagued with the same misogynistic lyrics about sex and drugs, The Weeknd manages to find a great balance between this and new pop-ish sounds. Just because we have one song doesn't mean we lose on another. Prisoner is a near perfect track. This isn't selling out, he's adapting to the mainstream market because he wants to be the biggest name he can be. People make it sounds like Abel is breaking up with us. A verse or two in a song is cool and adds to a song but why would I want to hear some other person sing? Do not post songs from an album or collection on.
